Tuning Checklist

Before it becomes legend.

  • Paper tune or bare-shaft tune before broadheads.
  • Spin every finished arrow and inspect inserts.
  • Confirm broadhead flight at 20, 30, and 40 yards.
  • Mark final sight settings and save this setup card.

How This Tool Works

The builder combines common arrow setup formulas.

Total arrow weight is built from the values entered on this page: shaft GPI times arrow length, plus point, insert or outsert, nock, vanes, wrap, and extras. FOC uses the standard balance-point formula, so the balance point should be measured on the finished arrow.

Estimated speed starts from the bow's IBO or rated speed, then applies simple adjustments for draw length, draw weight, arrow weight, and bow type. That makes it useful for comparison, but a chronograph reading is better whenever you have one.

Kinetic energy and momentum are calculated from the resulting arrow weight and estimated speed. Suggested use and spine hints are broad rules of thumb based on total weight, momentum, draw weight, arrow length, and front-end weight. They are not manufacturer spine charts and they do not replace shooting, paper tuning, broadhead tuning, or advice from a qualified bow tech.
